1. The service
Surface (surfacehq.co) provides a self-serve software product: an autonomous agent that works your visibility across the major AI engines and drafts the content and replies you review and approve. The full scope of what is included is described on our pricing page.
2. Free trial, subscription and billing
Every account starts with a 3-day free trial. A valid payment card is required to start the trial. The card is not charged during the trial.
At the end of the third day the subscription starts automatically at $149 per month, unless you cancel before then. Cancelling during the trial costs nothing and no charge is made.
The trial includes 40 credits. The paid subscription includes 200 credits per monthly billing cycle.
Billing is handled by Stripe and renews automatically each month until cancelled. There is no setup fee. Prices are stated in US dollars (USD) and exclude any taxes that may apply in your jurisdiction.
Surface may issue coupons or promotion codes to selected customers. A discount changes the amount charged for its stated duration and does not change the plan allowance unless expressly stated. Discounts cannot be combined unless Surface expressly permits it.
3. Cancellation and no lock-in
There is no minimum commitment and no lock-in. You may cancel at any time. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period, and you keep access until then. We do not pro-rate or refund a partial month unless required by law.
During an undiscounted trial, the cancellation flow may offer $99 per month for the first 3 paid months. If you decline, it may offer 1 free month in exchange for a completed founder feedback call. The second offer requires the call to occur, manual approval by Surface, and redemption of a customer-specific promotion code. Booking a call alone does not grant access. Product access remains paused after the trial until the code is accepted and the subscription becomes active. Accounts that started the trial with any discount are not eligible for these cancellation offers.
4. Credits
The plan includes 200 credits per month. Credits are spent when you approve a piece of work, never before: watching your visibility, the analysis behind a recommendation, and the recommendation itself are not metered. Unused plan credits do not carry over to the next month.
5. What you publish
The agent drafts content, comparison pages, replies and outreach. You decide what to publish, and you publish it from your own accounts and systems. Replies posted to third-party platforms such as Reddit are posted by you, from your own account, under that platform's rules. You are responsible for the accuracy and the legality of anything you choose to publish.
6. Your responsibilities
You agree to provide accurate information, to hold the rights needed for any materials you give us, and to grant the access required for us to deliver the service. You will not use the service for unlawful purposes.
7. No guaranteed ranking
AI engines are third-party systems we do not control, and their behaviour changes over time. We apply our method diligently, but we do not guarantee a specific ranking, citation, mention, or revenue outcome. Reporting reflects a point-in-time snapshot of AI-engine behaviour.
8. Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Surface is not liable for indirect or consequential losses. Our total liability for any claim relating to the service is limited to the fees you paid for the service in the three months preceding the claim. Nothing here excludes liability that cannot be excluded by law.
9. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. If a change is material, we will notify active clients. Continued use of the service after a change takes effect constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
10. Governing law
The governing law and the competent jurisdiction for these terms will be confirmed here following legal review.
